When spring-time hits, so do the allergies. While that's an indicator something is wrong in your gut, a fast working remedy is this bee pollen smoothie with only 4 ingredients!

    Bee Pollen Smoothie

Looking for more healthy drinks? Try this paleo mocktail, Gracias Madre! It's quite refreshing and only has 5 ingredients!

    Needed Ingredients

    Needed Ingredients

There's only 4 ingredients you need to make this bee pollen smoothie!

    • Frozen Berries
    • Milk of choice
    • Honey
    • Bee Pollen

I've tried this with almond milk, coconut milk, and raw dairy milk. My personal favorite is raw dairy milk!

It will come out great no matter what milk you choose, I've tested them all.

    Instructions

Making this smoothie is super easy! There's only one step: Place everything into a blender, and blend until smooth mixed!

    Ingredients in a blender

That's it! High speed blenders are the easiest, check the one below for what I recommend.

Is Bee Pollen Good for Smoothies

Yes, absolutely bee pollen is good for smoothies! It's a great way to ingest it!

When you blend it up you'll barely notice it's in there, and you'll get the benefits just as you would eating it straight up, though in a more enjoyable way.

How much Pollen Should I Put in My Smoothie?

You only need one tablespoon! This is enough to reap the benefits.

Can I eat a Spoonful of Bee Pollen?

Yes you can! Bee Pollen is safe to eat a spoonful straight from the bottle, but putting it in a smoothie is a much more enjoyable way to eat it!

What is the Best Way to Consume Bee Pollen?

There are so many ways to consume it! In this recipe we are blending it into a tasty smoothie.

However, there are also recipes with bee pollen in baked goods as well!

How Does Bee Pollen Help with Weight Loss?

Bee Pollen does have many tricks up it's sleeve, and one is weight loss! This is due to the fact that it's a natural appetite suppressant. You simply won't be as hungry!

    Does Bee Pollen Increase Estrogen?

On the contrary, bee pollen does not increase estrogen, it can actually suppress the production of it!

Read about the 2005 study how bee pollen can reduce the symptoms of menopause. It's pretty powerful stuff!

    Benefits of Bee Pollen

I would always suggest working to heal your gut as a first priority. But if you haven't done that, go straight for the local honey! Local honey is raw and unpasteurized, therefore it has the pollen intact. The theory is that by ingesting the pollen (either through local honey or actual pollen granules) over time, you build an immunity to it.

More studies are needed on this and there doesn't seem to be a consensus on how much honey/pollen should be consumed daily. This study out of Malaysia shows that improvements were seen from ingesting honey daily.

My personal experience has been that I've tried just about every over-the-counter medication out there for allergies, and nothing helped me. So I finally tried local honey after reading about it, and the results were so quick and powerful!

I was amazed and wished I tried it sooner. It didn't completely stop my symptoms, but it came pretty close. I would say 98%.
