This healthy beef and broccoli recipe features beef strips cooked with vibrant broccoli florets in a flavorful yet light marinade, creating a satisfying and nutritious dish that's both delicious and balanced. Packed with protein, vitamins, and fiber, it's a wholesome twist on a classic favorite.
Combine the beef with the garlic, coconut aminos, sesame oil, fish oil, and salt in a medium sized bowl. Add the meat and let it marinate while you prepare and cook the broccoli.
Chop the broccoli into florets and discard the stems. Chop the garlic.
Spread the broccoli and garlic on a large sheet pan. Drizzle with the sesame oil and coconut aminos. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
Roast for about 20 minutes depending on the floret sizes until mostly tender.
Remove tray from the oven and pre-heat the broiler. Place the oven rack in the top 3rd slot.
Push the broccoli to one side of the pan, and lay out the beef on the pan in a single layer.
Put tray into the oven, and broil for 2-3 minutes. The meat should be medium-rare and the broccoli should be lightly browned. Note-if you like your meat cooked more, leave in to broil longer but take out the broccoli if needed.
