This healthy beef and broccoli recipe features beef strips cooked with vibrant broccoli florets in a flavorful yet light marinade, creating a satisfying and nutritious dish that's both delicious and balanced. Packed with protein, vitamins, and fiber, it's a wholesome twist on a classic favorite.

    Healthy Beef and Broccoli

    Ingredients

No big list here! Just a small number of ingredients but clean and tasty!

    • Beef
    • Garlic
    • Coconut Aminos
    • Sesame Oil
    • Fish Sauce
    • Salt
    • Broccoli

That's it! Only 7 ingredients! You can of course go crazy with the toppings, which is definitely the fun part here!

I do recommend using coconut aminos by The New Primal. They are the best tasting in my opinion, as many brands are too sweet for my liking. There's is a good blend of sweet and savory.

How to Make Healthy Beef and Broccoli Recipe

Heat the oven to 400F degrees.

Start by placing the sliced beef in a medium glass bowl. Add the sesame oil, coconut aminos, salt, and garlic powder and mix thoroughly. Set aside.

    Marinating the beef

Place the garlic and broccoli on a sheet pan. Drizzle some sesame oil and coconut aminos on top, and mix with your hands to get everything coated. Spread it out on the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.

    Prepping the broccoli

Remove the broccoli from the oven, place the oven rack on the top third of the oven, and turn on the broiler. Push the broccoli to one side of the pan and in an even layer, spread out the beef on the other side, as seen below.

The beef and broccoli on the pan to broil

Broil the beef and broccoli for 3 minutes. The broccoli will be lightly toasted and the meat will be medium rare. If you'd like the beef cooked longer, remove the broccoli and place under the broiler, checking every 1-2 minutes until the desired temperature is reached.

That's it! You just made a fast and easy beef and broccoli meal!

    Substitutions and Variations

    • Sub out the broccoli for cauliflower!
    • Add some thinly sliced carrots.
    • Don't like medium-rare beef? Broil the beef a bit longer.

    Top Tip

Don't go crazy with the fish sauce-a little goes a LONG way!

Fish sauce is VERY potent so while ⅛ of a teaspoon doesn't seem like a lot, you probably don't want anymore than that!

What is the Best Beef to Use

Choose beef that has the most marbling in it, as that will yield the most tender beef.

Stew meat is a great option, just cut it down to size.

Flank steak can work also, and tenderloin is a fantastic option.

    Kitchen Tools Needed

Since this is a sheet pan meal, you really don't need many tools!

    • A chef's knife
    • A cutting board
    • A bowl to let the beef marinade
    • A sheet pan

    How to Serve This Meal

The topping options for this meal make it fun!

    • Sriracha sauce on top of this recipe is the perfect pairing!
    • Sesame Seeds
    • Chopped Scallions
    • More Coconut Aminos
    • Red Pepper Flakes

Note that you can make this Sriracha Recipe from Nom Nom Paleo. It tastes great and very similar to the bottled varieties!

If you prefer to buy some, any will do, but Yellow Bird has a healthy one! I've seen them in Whole Foods, but they also have a store locator on their site!

    More Easy Sheet Pan Recipes

Sheet Pan Meals are some of my favorites, and I have a list of Healthy Sheet Pan Dinners right here! These are great to add to your weekly menu, because who wants the addition of so many dishes each night?!

    Storage and Reheating

If there are any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

For leftovers, I recommend placing them in an oven safe dish with a lid or plate on top and reheating them at 350F degrees or until the desired temp is reached.
