How to Make Ground Chicken Tacos
- Prep the chicken: Mix the ground chicken with taco seasoning and divide it into 6 portions.
- Press onto the tacos: Take one portion of chicken and spread it all over one side of the tortilla, just about completely covering it.
- Fry: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken tortillas starting with the ground chicken down, about 3 minutes per side. When finished, set them aside on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and paper towel.
- Assemble: Load up your favorite toppings! When finished, fold them in half, the tortilla may crack but it will still hold everything together!
Topping Options
- pico de gallo
- avocado
- pickled onions
- dairy-free sour cream and cheese
- hot sauce
- cilantro
- cotija cheese
- cilantro lime dressing
Storage and Reheating
- Storage: Store leftover ground chicken tacos in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheating: While fried food never reheats well, the best way is to reheat in the oven or air fryer at 375°F until hot and crispy. Avoid the microwave to keep the coating as crunchy as possible.
- Freezing: I do NOT recommend freezing these!
