    Needed Ingredients

    Ingredients Needed
    • Ground Pork
    • Onions
    • Olive Oil
    • Gluten Free Panko Breadcrumbs
    • Egg
    • Parsley
    • Cardamom
    • Nutmeg
    • All Spice
    • Garlic Powder
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Butter
    • All-purpose Gluten Free Flour
    • Heavy Cream
    • Broth
    • Worcestershire Sauce or Coconut Aminos
    • Dijon Mustard

    Substitutions and Variations

    • While the coconut aminos contain fewer and cleaner ingredients, you can also use Worcestershire sauce in it's place!
    • Use ground beef in place of the pork, or even a mixture of the two!
    • You can use chicken, beef, or bone broth too.

    How to Make

With the exception of the pork, add all of the meatball ingredients to a large mixing bowl and whisk them together.

Once it's mixed, add in the pork and thoroughly mix together, being careful not to overmix as this will result in tough meatballs. Roll them into golf ball sized meatballs, and set aside.

For the sauce, melt the butter in a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat. When it's melted, whisk in the flour.

    whisking in the flour

As soon as the flour and butter are mixed, very slowly whisk in the broth, followed by the heavy cream, allowing the sauce to return to a low boil after each addition.

When the broth and cream are fully mixed in, add in the spices, mustard, and coconut aminos.

Gently spoon in the meatballs, covering them into the sauce. Allow the meatballs to remain at a low boil for about 8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F.

    Cook the meatballs

When they are finished, serve them with any of the options below for a delicious dinner!

    Storage

Store any leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 3 days! Just be sure to let it cool completely before sealing and placing it in the fridge.

My favorite way to reheat this is on the stovetop! Reheat the meatballs and sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir frequently, until it's reached the desired temperature!

    Serving Suggestions

There are many delicious ways to serve these gluten free meatballs with! Here are some ideas:

    • Whole30 Mashed Potatoes
    • Rasberry Kale Salad
    • Strawberry Goat Cheese Salad
    • Gluten Free Egg Noodles
    • Crusty Sourdough Bread
    • Grain Free Pasta (Jovial is my favorite!)

    Top Tip

Be sure NOT to put a lid on the pan while the meatballs cook but to stir them frequently! This will allow the sauce to thicken but not burn.
